AISA Holds First Jharkhand Conference

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

AISA’s first Jharkhand State Conference was held on 20 October at Ranchi. It was inaugurated by CPIML CC Member Comrade Shubhendu Sen. Comrade Sabir, the Bihar AISA Secretary addressed the occasion as a special guest.

The conference pledged to resist the New Economic Policy being imposed by the Modi Government to privatise and destroy education in India. It highlighted the sorry state of education in Jharkhand.

The Conference elected a 43-member Council and a 19-member State Committee with Sohail Ansari as President, Trilokinath as Secretary, Abhay Sahu as VP, Izhar Ali as Joint Secretary and Tarun as Office Secretary.
