Comrade Amreek Singh Samaon

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

Comrade Amreek Singh Samaon, young CPI(ML) activist from Mansa, Punjab, passed away on the night of 24 August after some sudden cardiac complications. He was only 28. He'd started working wholeheartedly for the revolutionary movement since his student days and was emerging as a popular leader of brick kiln workers. He got married recently and they were expecting their first child. Words cannot express the shock and the deep sense of loss we all are feeling along with his family and close comrades. Condolences to his family and comrades for this unbearable loss.

Red Salute to Comrade Amreek!
