CPI(ML) Strongly Condemns the Rajasthan Government’s Fake ‘Investigation’ in the Lynching of Comrade Zafar Khan

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

THE CPI(ML) strongly condemns the Rajasthan government and its police for covering up the murder of comrade Zafar Khan by claiming he died of a cardiac arrest. Comrade Zafar was assaulted by the Municipal employees at the instigation of the Municipal commissioner Ashok Jain when he came to defend the women who were being harassed and humiliated by the municipal corporation employees who were taking their photographs and making videos in the name of Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan. As in other lynching incidents in Rajasthan, the state machinery is intent on defending the lynch mob. CPI(ML) reiterates it’s demand of a Judicial Enquiry and arrest of all municipal employees including the commissioner who led the led mob himself.
