Homage Paid To Com. Jauhar, Ratan And Nirmal On Their Martyrdom Anniversary

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

CPIML ranks and files across the country paid their homage to Comrades Jauhar, Ratan and Nirmal on their martyrdom anniversary on 29 November 2022. In Patna, the program was organised at CPIML Bihar State Office. State secretary Kunal paying tributes said that the fight to build a people’s India, for which comrades Jauhar, Ratan and Niraml gave their lives continues today, He further noted that their revolutionary legacy continues to inspire and guide our struggle against today’s undeclared emergency and fascist assault by Modi government.

As the General Secretary of the party during early 1970’s, Com. Subrat Dutt (Jauhar) had laid the foundation of revolutionary peasant upsurge in Bhojpur and adjoining districts of Central Bihar. The three, who were leaders of the anti-feudal farmers’ struggles in Bhojpur inspired by the Naxalbari movement, were killed on this day in 1975 in a police firing while they were resisting the Emergency at Babubandh (Charpokhri).

Comrade Kunal also added that the preparations for party’s 11th congress in February are in full swing with the clarion call of ‘Fight-out fascism, save democracy! Build India of our great martyrs’ dream!’
