Protest in Agiaon on People’s Burning Issues

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

CPIML organized a protest on 27 November 2019 people’s issues at the Agiaon Block complex. Party leader Manoj Manzil said that many villages in the Block are being kept out of government schemes and people have to face many difficulties. Their problems are being addressed neither by the people’s representatives nor by administrative officials. Therefore, CPIML activists under the banner of AIARLA decided to organize a one-day dharna protest to demand that the people’s issues be addressed.

Manoj Manzil said that the many unresolved problems include transformers needing repairs, half-constructed Anganwadi centers needing to be completed, and drinking water, ration and kerosene problems. A memorandum was submitted to the Block Development Officer and the Zonal Officer.
