A rally was organized on 1 February under the AIARLA banner at Nagaon District in Assam. The rally, attended by large numbers of rural poor, was addressed by National President Shriram Chaudhary, Shubhrojyoti Bardhan, Rup Mohanta, Rubul Sharma, Mustafa Salim and others. Through the rally and the meeting, the people demanded that the anti-Constitutional, fascist, communal and divisive Citizenship Amendment Act should be revoked. The people also demanded that a National Register of Landless, Homeless, and Unemployed People should be prepared; the conspiracy to once again conduct another NRC in Assam should be stopped and the Detention Centers in the State should be closed.
