Ramanika Gupta

Some eighty years ago, Ambedkar had warned us 'if Hindu Raj becomes a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country' and he could not have been more prophetic.

HINDI poet and writer, former Left MLA from Bihar and feminist activist Ramanika Gupta passed away at the age of 89.
Ramanika Gupta was a tireless and lifelong fighter for the rights of Dalits and adivasis. She was the coordinator of the All India Tribal Literary forum. She was a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1979–1985.

CPI(ML) lowers its flag in tribute to this courageous and inimitable voice of change in literature, society and politics.
